'The Beatles Story', originally published in 1981 as weekly episodes in 'Look-in' is being republished in a hardcover edition by Rebellion. I have seen the claim that this was the first comic strip version of the Fab Four phenomena. If that is true it is thanks to 'Look-in' editor Colin Shelbourn who commissioned writer Angus Alan and I. It followed the shorter 'Elvis - the Story'which is still to receive a republication as separate title though has appeared as back-up to the 'Elvis Lives' paperback. I had been asked by Rebellion head office to keep this news 'under wraps', but see that it is public knowledge with a blog on 'down the tubes' and a pre-order opportunity on Amazon. It will be available in February 2018 There is some background by me making pretty dreadful use of Beatle song titles at http://downthetubes.net/?p=38893 January 30th. Just received my own copies of the book and think the editorial and design people at Rebellion have made a good job of it. So thank you folks.
