Senior Indonesian comic artist and writer  Raden Ahmad Kosasih ( 4th April 1919 - 24th. July 2012 ) has died of a heart attack on at the age of 93. Better known as R.A.Kosasih he was regarded in his country as the father of comic strip art, a local Jerry Seigal or Joe Schuster. A ‘Komikus Legendaris‘. His first published work in 1953 had females superheroes Sri Asih and Siti Gahara but his life’s work included many genres, romance, martial arts, children’s stories and most famously stories taken from the Mahabarata and Ramayana , Sanskrit epics that have been  compared in importance to the Bible, the Qur’an, the works of Shakespeare and  Homer.
